We were trained by the RAF in Air Sea Rescue and answered the call whenever an 8th AF plane was in trouble along the English coastline. On one day we were closing down when the whole map lit up and was covered with arrows showing unidentified 'bogies' coming in. These were the buzz bombs and rockets launched at London!
