Flight Officer Darnaby H Wilhoit 336FS, 4FG, 8AF USAAF.
Assigned to 336FS, 4FG, 8AF USAAF. 29 May 1945 F/O Darnaby M Wilhoit and Lt Harold H Frederick were ferrying surplus aircraft to Speke Air Depot, Liverpool. He died when he crashed in the mountains south of Glossop, Derbyshire and became the last fatality of the 4th Fighter Group in WW II.
