Prisoner of War (POW) crashed near Kirchhunden in P-38 #42-67966 on 22 Apr 44. Earlier on 30 October 1943 belly tank blew off while in formation. Weather made it difficult to find a landing field. Eventually found Tollerton and ran off the runway on landing P-38 #42-67072.
