1 October 1943, in ac B-24 41-23936 'Queen Anne' was attacked by fighters on bombing run on Wiener, Austria. 2 crewmembers bailed out near Vienna to become Prisoner of War (POW)s. Pilot Oakley crash landed in British held territory near Foggia, Italy. This unit was on temporary duty with the 9th AAC.
