Flew 30 missions on mission #26 returning to base it got dark and we were attacked by German fighters and also had to dodge the English flak. We followed plane on downwind leg at home base, he was shot down in the traffic pattern and I made black out landing.
Awards: DFC, AM (3OLC), WWII Victory, EAME.
