Dive bomb and strafing mission to the Laval and Le Mans area, France. while flying at low level over Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, 19 miles south-west of Le Mans, spun-in, hit a building at Gennes-sur-Glaize, 16 miles south-south-east of Laval. Still carrying bombs these exploded on impact. Killed in Action (KIA)
