Joseph W Street III


Street was Assigned to the 544th Bomb Group, 384th Bomb Group on 12 June 1943. He served as an armorer with the group, earning a promotion to Corporal on 1 July 1943, and later to Sergeant on 11 August 1943.

On 20 November 1944 Street was transferred out of the 384th Bomb Group and re-assigned to the 492nd Bomb Group.

Street's family believe that he later transferred to the 9th Air Force and went on to serve as a Tail Gunner on B-24 Marauders with the 558th Bomb Squadron, 387th Bomb Group.
