Object Number - UPL 36454 - Charles Wilson Tuttle III of the 434th Quartermaster Platoon with his dog.

Arrived in the UK on 19 October 1943 and served with the 434th Quartermaster Platoon. Based near Blackpool, Lancashire and witnessed the Freckleton Air Disaster on 23 August 1944.



Later served in Europe, working on bombers in France, Germany and he picked up a dog "Dego" in Italy who he shipped home to the US and kept as a pet.



Awarded the Good Conduct Medal, EAME Medal and Victory Medal
