Emond Crew of the 91st Bomb Group, 8th Air Force, beside the Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress" "Man O War Ii". England. - B-17G 42-38038 "Man-O-War II" (coded LG-V) of the 322nd Bomb Sq, 91st BG. The ship lasted nine months with the group, until the 2 November 1944 mission to Merseberg. LT Leroy B. Hare & crew were hit hard by enemy fighters. Five crewmen were KIA with the remainder becoming POWs.
