"Capt. Paul F. Radue, 720th Operations Officier, passed on August 6, 2005 while in the presence of his family.

Capt. Radue successfully piloted 51 missions during his tenure with the 15th AAF B-24 Liberator Bomber Group.

He participated in some of the most outstanding aerial blows of the war during missions of high priority, such as: the bombing

of aircraft factories at Wiener-Neustadt and Munich, the rail centers of Budapest and Bucharest, the harbor installations

of Nice and Toulon, and the Ploesti oil refineries, to name a few.

His airplane was shot down during a mission on April 28, 1944. The navigator refused to jump from the falling B-24,

so pilot Radue assisted the navigator out of the plane before jumping himself. They were the only two crewman ever found.

A true hero in the eyes of his family, friends, and fellow crewman, Paul F. Radue will surely be missed.

Kind Regards,

Lance F. Radue"
