Mario was born February 9, 1920 in Kenosha Wisconsin. Mario was a first generation American born of Italian immigrant parents. He and his older brother Lorenzo Persechini both joined the Army Air corps and both became bomber pilots. Mario flew 25 missions over France and Germany and left the military at the rank of Captain. After the war, he lived in Southern California, had 2 children and 6 grandchildren. He passed away February 28, 2015 at the age of 95.
