After the war Charlie married Antonetta Antonacci. He and Antonetta enjoyed traveling to Europe and across the USA as well as skiing in Vermont while visiting their second home, a Chalet, which Charlie built himself. Charlie was employed as a research analyst of combustion engineering for the Pratt & Whitney Aerothermal Fluids Group designing and validating gas turbine aerothermal designs for commercial, military, industrial, and APU gas turbine engines. His responsibilities included the design and analysis of the core flowpath, internal air system, thermo acoustic coupling, combustion dynamics and cases & frames. Validation of designs including engine test support and ensuring the reliability and performance in the field.
