I was a flight engineer/ top turret gunner on a B-24 with 450 BG, 47 Bomb Wing, 15 AF. Shot down in ‘Big Week’ over Regensburg. My two brothers were Flight Officer Robert V Vaughn a B-24 pilot bombing Japan and 2nd Lt Joseph C Vaughn, navigator on a B-17, 351st Bomb Group, Polebrook.
