William Richard Chauncey Jr

William R Chauncey grew up in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated from Southwesthern College in 1939. He worked for North American Aviation before joining the Army Air Forces in 1943.
Chauncey was shot down on his 14th mission on 16 August 1944 in B-17G 42-31702 while serving as Bombardier. Aircraft took a direct hit by flak over the target and crashed at Burgwerben, Germany. Killed in Action (KIA).
