Staff Sergeant William P. McNally was born October 23, 1923. His next of kin were his parents, John and Elanora McNally. He was from Jersey City, New Jersey.

On July 28, 1944, he was serving as the Left Waist Gunner aboard “Island F for Fox,” B-17 tail #42-97555 of the 100th Bomb Group, 350th Bomb Squadron, when it went down over Dillenberg, Germany.

He is buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, New Jersey.
