William Minton Hummer

2nd Lieutenant William M. Hummer was born 4-Nov-23, and was the son of John and Beatrice Hummer. He was from Mine Hill, New Jersey. Joined the Crandell crew as a replacement for 2nd Lt Bertil Carlberg. He was the Navigator aboard B-24 42-100314 'Kay Bar' of the 67th Bomb Squadron, 44th Bomb Group, when it was downed over Wesel, Germany, on 24-Mar-45. The entire crew was killed.
He is buried at the US Military Cemetery at Margraten, Holland.
