MilitaryCompleted 8 Combat missions with the 95th. Had to abort 1 mission w/ 482nd due to engine trouble. B-17 loaded with incendiary bomb cluster. Had to repin each cluster before landing. Shot down 21 February 1944 on 10th mission & had to bail out over Holland. Captured & spent 14 months as Prisoner of War (POW) at Stalag Luft I, Barth, Ger.
