William F Gilbert
MilitaryTail gunner Booth cleaning up tail turret - Serial number on this photo, on base at Shipdham
Time frame 13 June to 3 August 1944. Their first mission in this aircraft (their 8th overall) was on 14 June 1944 to Chateaudun, France and returned to base at 1015 hours so I mark the earliest date for this photo taken in daylight as the 13th of June.
Dad's inscription on the back is the next photo.
Oral, written and photographic memories of my father, T/Sgt Woodrow Peterson, 67th of the 44th at Shipdham England, May to August 1944.
I am a docent with The Museum of Flight in Seattle.
