Staff Sergeant Travis E. Nash was born September 9, 1923. His next of kin were his parents, Jessie and Nellie Nash. He was from Detroit, Michigan.
On April 5, 1945, he was serving as the Radio Operator aboard B-24 “Tinker Belle,” tail #44-40158, of the 44th Bomb Group, 506th Bomb Squadron, when it was shot down over Wipperfurth, Germany. Various reports show that he was killed aboard the aircraft, or shot on the ground by German military personnel.
He is buried at the US Military Cemetery at Margraten, Holland.
