Took part in Operation Tidal Wave, the raid on Ploesti on 1 August 1943, flying B-24 Liberator 42-40777. Aircraft crashed in Turkey and he was interned.



Killed in Action (KIA) 7/7/44 (Bernberg). Pilot: Weaver. Shot down by fighters and crashed near Valte in B-24 'Full House' 42-99966
