"After successfully delivering 5th payload over Germany in preparation for D-Day, B-24 which had been hit by flak, did not make it out of Germany. Crew all successfully parachuted from failing plane and all returned home after individual ordeals of capture or hiding with Underground Resistance Fighters.



Dad's POW Camp was LIBERATED by Canadians. He had survived the Black March and other depravities being found at 95 pounds. He as all POW's of WWII was not treated for psychological wounds incurred from captivity during which multiple war crimes by German Guards were committed. "
