On April 27th, 1944 while flying a bombing mission to Moyenneville, France, Lt Billingsley was injured by flak and received the Purple Heart.... Bob Billingsley was born on October 6th, 1921 in Washington State and died at the young age of 44 on October 13, 1965. He is buried at Green Acres Memorial Park, Scottsdale, Maricopa County in Arizona.
