Object Number - UPL 29861 - 1st Lieutenant Robert Hannover Long, US Army Air Corps
2 October 1942 on returning from mission to Meaulte, France, crash landed at Gatwick with landing gear retracted. 3 crew members were injured but all returned. Their plane 'Phyllis' B-17F-BO 41-24397 was salvaged.
Awards: DFC, AM (5OLC), WWII Victory, EAME.
