Adrian Lyon and his sister lived with their uncle near Richmond, Virginia.  He attended the University of Richmond for 3 years where he took basic flying courses.  He joined the Air Corps at the end of his junior year earned his wings at Brooks Field, Texas.  He was married in June 1942, before being sent overseas with the 364th Bomb Squadron.  Shot down 19 May 1943 in B-17 #41-24573. Plane crashed into North Sea, Killed in Action (KIA).
