Killed in Action (KIA) 26-Feb-43 in B-17F #41-24623, 305BG/365BS while serving as Co-Pilot. The aircraft sustained damage from AA fire over the target at Wilhelmshaven, Germany and was then shot down by fighters and crashed into the Jadenbusen (Jade Bight) just east of Wilhelmsahven, Germany.

Jade Bight, Germany 26 February 1943 Killed when the aircraft sustained damage for AA fire over the target and was then shot dow by fighters, craching into the Jadebusen (Jade Bight) easy of Wilhelmshaven, Germany. His remains have never been recovered.
