Robert Alexander Dibbell

Military

Col. Robert Alexander Dibbell (Sept. 30, 1920 - Oct 17, 1996), hailed from Allentown PA and had a successful career as a pilot and aircraft commander.  After World War II, Dibbell entered the reconnaissance community where he flew RB-29s and RB-47s.  Dibbell was married to Betty (née Pastor) Dibbell and had three children and several grand children.  He retired to Tucson, Arizona where he was an active volunteer at Davis Monthan AFB and a key member of the 55th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing reunion group.
