Mount Zion, IL, USA | 9 March 2014 | Raymond A. Moss, 92, of Mt. Zion passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014, at Imboden Creek Living Center. He was born on April 3, 1921 in Ford Cliff, Pennsylvania to Meredith Lloyd Moss and Gertrude Blanche (Wolf) Moss. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Jessica and his daughter, Judy Moss Bingaman. He married Melva Littek on May 4, 1946. She survives. Also surviving are his son, William (Gloria) Moss; daughter, Jerilynn (Brad) Jones; son-in-law, Jake (Doris) Bingaman; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army Air Force as a B-24 pilot with the 8th Air Force. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross and 3 Air Medals. He worked for over 30 years at PPG Industries until he retired in 1983 |
