Flew on Isom's crew in 'Patty Girl' for the 27th September 1944 mission to Kassel. One of few crews that landed back at Tibenham that day.

In a Voices of Valor article published 14 December 2014, Dickerson remembers that mission:

“Thirty-seven planes left the base, 35 planes made it to the target and only four made it back,” he said. “We lost almost the whole group.”
