Shot down 14 October 1943 in B-17 #42-30779. POW at Stalag Luft 3 Sagan-Silesia Bavaria (Moved to Nuremberg-Langwasser) 49-11. He flew on Immanuel Klette crew then on Willard Lockyear crew. He flew missions from June 1943 to 14 October 1943.
