12-Oct-44 Plane was 'Inside Curve' 42-39973. Went down spinning and twisting. Then in a nose dive blew up with all of my crew of nine, killing all but my Navigator, Sidney Solomon, and me. Sidney Solomon and I, Paschal H. Powell were blown out and by a miracle of God we lived. Blew up over England all bodies recovered.



Failed to Return (FTR) Ruhland mission. Baled out of B-17 44-6387 22-Mar-45, Prisoner of War (POW). MACR 13247.
