Owen M Seaman

Owen Seaman was serving as the Commanding Officer of the 353rd Fighter Squadron when he went missing over the North Sea. He is commemorated on the Tablets of the Missing at the Netherlands American Cemetery.
He had been at Pearl Harbour when the Japanese attacked and according the press caption on FRE 404 he was the only one of his squadron to get his plane into the air and then only after the main attack was over.
