April 24, 1943 we shippedout in a 53 ship convoy that took 16 days to reach Aven England. We were sent to Bodney AB. In Dec '44 we were sent to Asch, Belgium to support ground troops duringArdennes breakthrough. We also went to Chievres,Belgiumô

Primarily serviced P-51's as a ground crew member. Was a staunch American patriot that served his country with pride. In the European theatre for 2 1\2 years. Contracted Hepatitis C from a needle used as he donated blood in a local hospital - transferred by medical ship to Rhodes General Hospital in Upstate NY to recover.
