I am the Son-in-Law for Lt. Mixon Stamper , Co Pilot, Second from the left right next to Lt Presley. This picture was taken in Dalhart, Texas during the advanced final training training for this flight crew just before they shipped out. This particular aircraft they are in front of , the 'Tanichka' was assigned there through May 1944 as a training aircraft. Shortly after this photo was taken they were shipped to England and assigned the 'Ronchi" B17-80-DL 42-37714. There this crew was shot down by AA on its very first mission.
