Milton L Hymes Jr

Military ROLL OF HONOUR

Crashed 20 June 1944 after in air collision near Schonberg in B-24 42-100351, Killed in Action.

2nd Lt Milton L. Hymes Jr. was a childhood friend of my father's. They grew up a block away from each other in Savannah, Ga, both joined the AAF and were assigned to B-24 Liberators. When my father died, I found that he had saved a newspaper clipping describing the loss of 2ndLt Hymes. I really did not know who he was until I did a little research. Missing, but Never forgotten!
