Mark Overstreet was a Tail gunner and had flown a number of missions with the Warren Hawes Crew (Crew Number 18) in the 390th Bomb Group. He flew most missions with that crew on B-17 #42-31717 “Hells Bells”. Shot down 20 April 1944 in B-17 #42-37890 "Big Friend". Killed in Action (KIA).
