Personal knowledge by Dr. Michael I. Darter. I met Loren many times, he was close friend and crewmate of my MIA brother Eugene F. Darter, who died on 16 Dec 43 near Texel Island, NL. Loren became POW and survived war and lived a wonderful life, dying 2007. I gave a eulogy at his memorial service in Carrolton, IL.
