OBITUARY: Leland Eugene Mills (1922-1997)



WINTERS - Leland Mills, 75, of Winters died Saturday at a local hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jeff May officiating. Burial will be in the Northview Cemetary under the direction of the Winters Funeral Home.



Mr. Mills was born in Winters. He married Jo Brannon in 1941 in Abilene. He was veteran of the Army Air Force, serving during World War II. He worked for the Civil Service living in Montana, North Dakota and Abilene where he was a traffic manager for Dyess Air Force Base before retiring in 1981. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winters.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Mills of Winters; one son, Bruce Mills of Colorado City; one daughter, Mariea Bellinger of Abilene; one brother, Kenneth Mills of Monahans; 10 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
