Returning from mission to Hanover when attacked by seven Fw190's in B17 42-29612 26-Jul-43. Finally over the channel attacked by Me109. Credited shoot down of attacking Me109. Forced to ditch off Norfolk coast. All crew rescued by ASR.

Ditched in Channel 5-Sep-43 in B-17 42-30668, on return from mission to Stuttgart due to fuel shortage. All crew rescued by ASR.

Awards: AM, WWII Victory, EAME, Goldfish club member.
