John Field Ledyard
MilitaryLt. Ledyard was the pilot of B-17G 'Alcohol Annie' #42-31362. He completed 25 missions and most memorable mission was Muenster, Ger. when they were attacked by over 100 ME-109s and FW 190s 'Alcohol Annie' was credited with shooting down 4 German fighters. The raid was documented in the Chicago Sun newspaper on 24 March 1944 following an interview with Lt. Ledyard.
