John F Mahoney
Military ROLL OF HONOURShot down 22 April 1944 in B-24 #41-29306. Killed in Action (KIA). Made contact with local resistance group in Ingooigem, Belgium and joined the organization by actively participating in sabotage for 5 months. On 9/06/1944 Mahoney and a group of 20 members planned to join a nearby British tank patrol unit already engaged in combat. Unfortunately, the group was captured by German soldiers and executed.
