James A Laine
MilitaryShot down 6 March 1943 in B-17F 42-5130 'Sweet Pea', 306BG/367BS while serving as Bombardier. The aircraft was on a mission to bomb the U-Boat pens at Lorient, France. Flak caused damage to the aircraft and a bale out was necessary. He was captured as a Prisoner of War (POW). Completed 7 missions.
After the war he was with Gulf Oil for 30 years, retiring in 1982 as Real Estate Director.
He died 1st November 2002 in Snellville GA.
