Ivan C Lindaman
Military"Iowans of the Mighty Eighth", Chapter 26 "Biographies", by Charles D Taylor.
He worked for a construction company and helped on the family farm before being drafted in October 1942. After pilot training he was assigned to the 305th at Chelveston in England where he flew on 21 combat missions as Operations Officer and Squadron CO.from January to June 1945. Following VE Day they were transferred to Belgium and later Munich, taking part in operation 'Casey Jones' doing photographic flights. He did tours of duty in Italy and Africa before being discharged in June 1946.
