Served as Radio Operator on B-17F 41-24585 "Wulfe Hund", 303BG/360BS on a mission to bomb the railroad marshalling yards at Rouen, France. The battle damage aircraft was crashlanded by the pilot in a filed in France. SSGT Fegette managed to evade capture.

Completed Combat Tour Royan, France 14 May 1945

Served as Radio Counter Measures technician on B-17G 44-6517 "Old Cock", 303BG/360BS on a mission targeting the huge gun emplacements at Royan, France. This was his final mission, completing his combat tour.
