Description

A combined force of 124 P-47s is despatched from 4FG, 56FG and 78FG in support of the 1st Bomb Wing formation attacking the aircraft factories at Meault, France. These aircraft did not escort the bombers in the traditional sense, but provided sweeps of the routes to and from the target. There are no losses or claims.
