35 Spitfires from 4th Fighter Group are despatched to escort RAF "Circus" 232. 14th Fighter Group despatches 24 P-38s to provide rear support for the Circus. This is the last mission for 14rh Fighter Group with the 8th AF in the ETO prior to their transfer to 12th Air Force in North Africa.
