Notes: A mix of 710 fighters from 8th Air Force provide escort: 170 P-38s, 238 P-47s and 302 P-51s. In addition, IX Fighter Command contributed a mix of 425 fighters (not included in table). IX Fighter Command had one loss (not in table). Claims include 9-0-2 on the ground. Only the 4 losses for 357th Fighter Group (P-51) were due to enemy action.
