RG226, Joan-Eleanor operations, National Archives and Records Administration, College Park, Maryland, USA. The records relating to the Joan-Eleanor project make no mention of Redstocking, nor is the term in the OSS finding aids. A 402 BG report accidently left in OSS files at Harrington lists one Mosquito mission as Red Stocking and an attachments mentions Red Stocking Project. Interesting, ALL official OSS JE mission reports do NOT list the term Red Stocking. It appears 492nd BG may have referred to Mosquito JE mission as Red Stocking, but NOT the OSS.
