Lt. William H. Saunders Navigator Crew #707 - Howard A. Fisher Crew 466th BG - 787th BS KIA on 20 June 1944 when his a/c, B-24H-20-FO #42-94929, suffered a near direct hit by flak over the French coast. After being hit he managed to make his way to the flight deck and laid down on a bench behind the pilot's seats. He died within minutes.
