Corporal John C. Gorman of the 303rd Bomb Group prepares to load bombs into a B-17 Flying Fortress. Passed for publication 16 Dec 1942. Printed caption on reverse: 'Corporal John C. Gorman, of Seneca, Ill. used to sell the Tribune back home, but now he leads bombs into American 'planes in England. "Keep 'em buying back there and we'll keep 'em flying over here," he says. Educated at St. Pat's and Seneca Township, his last job before joining the Army Air Corps was with E.I. Dupont and Co., Elwood, Ill. "England is a swell country - but I hope to be back soon", is his message to the folks.' On reverse: Current Affairs Ltd, US Army Press Censor ETO and US Army General Section Press & Censorship Bureau [Stamps].
