Plane later crashed on take off at Steeple Morden - killing crew that took over plane when it came out of the service sqdn. after we were shot down 11-2-44. John Askins' crew shot down in plane whose crew was on pass (B-17G LL-E) from 91st Bomb Grp., 401st Sqd.'
